The H2O CultureThough growing rapidly, H2O maintains a small company feel. Our emphasis is firmly on innovation and having fun in the workplace. We work in small creative teams driven by the one vision of creating super cool web based applications that enable people to have fun, be creative and share information and ideas. Everyone is encouraged to work on their own innovative projects and every team member’s opinion matters. Corporate hierarchy is not something we buy into, everyone wears several hats in H2O and the CEO is often seen making the coffee for the development teams (although most don’t drink coffee) and having fun & creative flair isn’t encouraged it’s a mandatory requirement. The H2O hiring policy is aggressively non-discriminatory and favours ability over experience. We do maintain a strict quality hiring policy, the chance of being employed by H2O is roughly 1 in 130 submissions even at current growth rates. New applicants are expected to show exemplary talent and ability and passion for being part of H2O. In return the company is one of the first in the UAE to start implementing an employee profit sharing scheme and will be one of the first high growth technology companies in the region to issue an employee equity scheme. |
