Some useful information when booking bands and singers to perform in Dubai.

When booking bands and singers in Dubai there are some useful points for you to consider as a checklist for your event.

  • The Bands will need space to set up equipment and sufficient mains electricity points to be able to perform, this means you should have a gang plug extension suitable for Dubai plugs.
  • They need power for lighting systems and sound so please be aware of this potential issue, as Dubai tends to use the 3 pin and 2 pin plugs you should have some adapters to hand.

  • They generally need at least 3 x 13 amp mains sockets (not extension leads.) This can sometimes be a problem in marquee receptions where insufficient power has been arranged for the band.
  • Check that your Dubai venue does not have a sound limiter, as live bands will not be able to perform, under those conditions. Vocal mics in particular tend to trip these.
  • Allow a minimum of 60 to 90 minutes to set up and sound check equipment. If your venue is a Dubai hotel you should inform your event manager of this requirement.
  • Bands are normally contracted to arrive and end at a certain time, this means that if they are left waiting around for a long it will incur an additional charge or you will get a reduced performance time.  Leave enough time in your event plans for the band to play.
  • The fees we calculate, in liaison with the band, cover travel time, fuel and sometimes overnite accommodation if required.
  • Space needed for bands to perform does vary but as a minimum guide 8' deep x 15' wide to accommodate drum kits, keyboards, PA equipment, you should also ensure that there is a stage our suitable plaftform to perform upon.
  • For a larger event a band will also need a room to get changed. Ideally it should be secure to store their clothes and equipment
  • The band you book for your function in Dubai and will need refreshments during their stay at your event. Tea coffee soft drinks and something to eat are normally fine.
  • Demo tracks that we will provide to you for your Dubai based band give a fair indication of the band's performance. Some have been recorded live at functions some have been done in the studio
  • Generally all the bands sound as good as or better than their demo when performing live.
  • Sometimes around popular holiday times in Dubai such as Eid or Christmas the bands will be performing at public events and it may be possible to see them perform by acquiring tickets for the event.
  • Most of the bands have comments from clients who have actually booked a band for their event and this should give you an indication of their suitability for your event in Dubai.
